210. ACROSS THE POND TO SENTOSA

Crossed the pond to Sentosa to check out the State of Fun as she is branded. The free monorail shuttle does a hop-on hop-off loop around the island with stops at the various attractions...

It's the biggest island outside the 'mainland' - to cover all her attractions would likely take the whole day so I shall be selective and likely just do a walkabout one of these days...

I'm no fan of theme parks so Universal Studio will have to wait till I run out of places to check out. The main draw for me is the S.E.A. Aquarium...

The boardwalk is really a nice relaxing way to walk or cycle across. From across the water I get a good view of the cable cars above and the several main buildings comprising Universal Studios, the Casino and Resorts World Sentosa, the Aquarium Building and Hard Rock Hotel and one or 2 other hotels.

The boardwalk too needs me to give it a once over...

Girls night PJ party - roomie agreed I fight to win...!

This fabulous old beauty is the St James Power Station, a conserved heritage structure.

These 2 properties, a mosque and a mausoleum sit on land belonging to Johor's royal family. No idea who paid for the renovation of the properties or how Singapore managed to convince the royal family to do up the place or it was their own initiative as the properties are by a busy main road. In any case it was in dire need of re-building...

Resorts World is operated by a Malaysian family with gaming businesses, hence, this food court...

The theme...

Feeding time is in the morning...there's a shipwreck as props - the conceptualisation is super...

This has to be my favourite - the jellies. They float around in slow-mo their transparent lightweight body parts trailing, it was surreal, almost like watching a ballet...whoever the consultants for this aquarium did an excellent job, consummate professionals who really know their sea species...

I was fascinated by this display - I gawked the longest at these tanks...!

A very good morning to you too...!

Blue lobsters are quite rare I understand, he appears to be the only one and is terribly shy...

The shark display was the last and it was spectacular
