73. CULTURAL DAY

It's in the expatriate community that one sees the diversity that Mother Nature intended.

The International School I'm with is a global village. Mum's born in one place, dad's in another, their kids, somewhere else and are now living in Singapore. When asked what nationality they are, often times, the younger ones aren't sure!

Increasingly, the world's peoples are more and more 'mixed' - they have always been so, just th
at it wasn't as obvious or widespread or simply, peoples of some nations were too nationalistic to want to admit it

It is young people like these who will change the colour of the world, who will hopefully create sometime, a more peaceful and loving co-existence.

It's beautiful to see a Korean and Japanese become firm friends, communicating in English......an Israeli kid picking up the Korean Language from his classmates, a Pakistani playing so well with a Russian kid, an Indian kid speaking Mandarin in drama...there's hope yet...

Who divides them? The adults and organised religions
