247. LORD GANESHA's BIRTHDAY

 

Made a friend Kalpana, at a Yoga retreat couple months back...(post. 244)

She invited me over to her home when the family observed Lord Ganesha's birthday.

Everybody showed up in their finery, I was a slop coming in from a yoga session!

Brought along a flower offering. The buffet table looked fabulous with so many of my favourite goodies.

Saying 'Grace' by offering Arati - Light, in the form of fire - at the altar

While the ladies sang bhajans...

The kiddos were in their Indian best - they came to party and their laughter added to the merriment. A pleasant afternoon...
