238. ZHUHAI
Macau to Zhuhai, Hong Kong to Zhuhai is linked by a bridge - the drive to Zhuhai from Macau is mere minutes. (see previous post on Macau)
From a distance, the Zhuhai Opera House appears impressive. It's a seaside location so the theme is sea, sea creatures and such but I didn't see any sea sports.
Apparently, the consultant for this part of town is a Singaporean architect/town planner.!
The scallop design is quite neat - I like it!
Concerts coming up - quite happening
This fish installation is glorious!
In a fishbowl! One can watch them prepare dumplings with different stuffings and do it so expertly it's like watching a machine doing the job - they were folding them that fast...entertaining!
This museum is ok - boarded a boat where a show was put on for good measure, that's different - to have a performance aboard a Chinese boat...
Keyword - Civilized
Zhuhai is home to this huge Aquarium, an Oceanarium due to its huge size and exhibits. It's a theme park - about sea, sea creatures and such...
Theme parks are never my scene but I do get to see rare creatures in one spot, at the same time my heart is heavy at seeing wild creatures confined to a small space.
When I'm not in control I float along (like a dead fish!)
Universal Studios and Disneyland/Disneyworld have never been on my bucket list...
Beluga's another cutie! Look at that smile!
This majestic gentle giant dominates this tank there's at least 3 of them. A creature this size housed in a tank - it must be really large, its acrylic or glass tank super thick...
The bottom right corner are buns I spotted in a cafe, formed into whale sharks - cuties...!
I adore dolphins. I find it totally unacceptable how predator fishermen in a certain country can trap them every year hunting them down and beating them to death. Bad karma be upon them
The morays are fascinating to watch. It's really hard to spot so many in one place, I spent the most time at this tank
Some pics came from fellow travellers...and ISE Travel

The Terminals in Changi Airport are dressed up in yellow - the theme is sunflowers
